This is a real refreshing and soothing drink especially during summer. This is also one of the simple and important recipe for Vishu Sadhya. Wishing all my friends a Happy Vishu 2012 or Happy new Year - as per Solas Calender. Here goes the recipe:
Ingredients:
Yoghurt / curd - 1/2 cup,
Water - 2 to 3 cups,
Ginger chopped - 1 tbsp,
Curry leaves - 4 to 5 nos.
Green chilly - 1 to 2 nos.
Salt - 1/2 to 1 tsp.
Method:
1. Take a Mortar and pestle, add ginger, salt, chilly, curry leaves and crush till its juices start coming out. If you dont have a mortar and pestle use a wooden vegetable cutting board and crush using the wooden handle of a big knife or chopper.
2. Take a big bowl or pot and add the crushed ingredients.
3. Beat the yoghurt for 1 or 2 rounds in a mixer and add to the bowl.
4. Pour required amount of water as per the consistency you need about minimum of 2 cups. You can add more if you want it very diluted.
5. Mix well and drink it fresh.
