Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Chickpea Flour (Besan),
3/4 cup Sugar,
1/2 cup Ghee(clarified butter),
· If you have stored ghee in refrigerator, then wait till it reaches room temperature before using.
· Powder the sugar and transfer it into a wide plate.
· Heat a non-stick pan, add 5 tbsp of ghee, cardamom powder, besan and stir for 5 minutes continuously in low flame.
· Now add remaining ghee little by little and stir continuously for another 10 to 12 minutes in low flame only. The besan mixture should not burn. When the mixture becomes wet and light brown in color, switch off the flame.
· Transfer it to the plate with sugar, mix well and roll into balls when it is still warm. Don’t wait for the mixture to cool down, as it tends to become dry very soon.
· Leave the balls on a plate for some time to dry and store in an airtight container.
· For garnishing, you can add fried or raw pistachios or Cashewnuts into each ball while rolling.
