Easy side dish recipe for Chapatti / roti / rice. When you don't have the time to prepare elaborate curry, but still you want something tasty to have with rice or roti, then this is the right recipe that can be prepared in 10 minutes!!!
Ingredients
Tomato chopped - 5nos.
Onion finely chopped - 1 no.
Ginger finely chopped - 1 tsp,
Green chilly chopped - 1no.
Chilly powder - 1.5 tsp,
Salt - 1 tsp,
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp,
Coriander seed powder - 1 tbsp,
Curry leaves - 1 sprig OR Coriander leaves chopped - 1 tbsp,
Oil - 1 tbsp.
Method
1. Heat oil add onion, ginger, green chilly, curry leaves and saute till onions are translucent.
2. Add tomatoes and saute till they are soft.
3. Add all the masala powders and saute for a minute.
4. Add 1 cup water, close with a lid and cook in medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes or till you get a medium thick gravy.
5. Curry is ready. Serve hot with roti or rice.
